Rejected Allies

Hailing from South Gate California, or also known as “Mouth Gate”, the Rejected Allies was started by Miguel in 2002. The line up then was; Miguel on guitar, geo on drums, and Eddie on bass. After a couple of practices George and Felipe joined; George ,living in LA at the time, as singer and Felipe on guitar. Then, after a while, Eddie began to slack off, so Isai was brought in for second generation bass, from south central.

With that they began to make a name for themselves in the backyard scene, with their first public appearance on Feb. 1^st of 2003. After a year or so later Miguel decided to drop out, so then Sergio, a friend of the band’s, was brought in to replace Miguel. After a couple of shows together and some time, it was decided he wasn’t going to workout well with the band, so he was let go. After many other “might be” guitarist, it was decided to end the search for a new guitarist, and turn the band to a four piece and continue like that.

While two of the member’s high school senior year was ending, the final show took place on July 9^th of 2004, but only to allow a break for the band to get new material and new members together. During that time, George was not seen often and Isai had left to college.

After a month of doing nothing, on the way home from school, Felipe found Danny, which had played in an older band with two years before, and invited him over. It worked out great, he got all the new songs down, and then they began to work on new material for the come back.

But there still wasn’t a bass player. After talking to some people and having no luck, there was finally a knock at the door, and it was the new bass player Keith, who came down from Norwalk. Since he couldn’t show for practice right away, he wasn’t ready in time for the comeback show on Oct. 2^nd. But after four weeks he was ready for his first show on Oct. 29^th.

Two months later, on Dec. 22^nd and the 23^rd, the band recorded their self titled 5 song E.P. Now the Rejected Allies seek to further make a name for themselves and their hometown in the years to come.

Rejected Allies is influenced by bands like Comeback Kid, Champion, Terror, Hatebreed, Unearth, Sinai Beach, As I Lay Dying, Throwdown, Skaretactic, Bleeding Through, and With Honor.
